I was born and raised in the state of Michigan, a special place that I highly recommend. Surrounded by the magnificent Great Lakes (if you have yet to see them the size will surprise you), an Upper and Lower Peninsula, Mackinac Island, ski slopes, hundreds of miles of hiking and snowmobile trails, perfect sunrises (Lake Huron) and sunsets (Lake Michigan), golf courses galore, Pine Knob (one of the largest outdoor music venues in the country), and so much more. From Spring to Summer and Fall to Winter, there is always something fun and outdoorsy going on in the great state of Michigan.

Throughout my career I often struggled with effectively managing stress and associated frustrations. This changed upon discovering both meditation and the principles of Stoicism. Over the years, I have found the calm, questioning, and logical approach associated with Stoicism to be a core guiding principle as to how to live a successful life. One of my favorite quotes from The Daily Stoic is this maxim from the Navy SEALS: “Calm is Contagious.” A simple but powerful reminder of a critical component of leadership.

Terri, my wife, and I are based in Clarkston, Michigan but we also spend most of Summer and Fall at our second home on Lake Huron in Northern Michigan. With three grown children and two grandchildren spread across the country in Chicago, St. Petersburg, and Brooklyn, we are always on the go.

Following a terrific and unforgettable extended European vacation in 2025, my wife and I decided it was time to see the USA!
After months of research and preparation, we purchased a GMC Denali Diesel Truck along with a 27’ AirStream Globetrotter and hit the open road. Thanks to modern technology, I can now pretty much work from anywhere and can easily jump on a plane whenever needed. Coming soon to your neighborhood!
