Once you download the apps and log-in, go to “settings” and turn on notifications so you get alerts when others engage with you.

2. Schedule Social Time

Whether it’s on your desktop or from the convenience of your mobile device, you need to find regular time to interact with your social media feeds. Perhaps it’s part of a morning routine with your first cup of coffee, or when you’re winding down at night.

Some advisors even add 15 minutes to their calendar a couple of times a week to keep social media front and center.

3. Connect & Engage

If the idea of creating custom content for social media posts seems daunting, don’t worry. You don’t have to become a self-publishing machine to get great value from social media.

In fact, let your connections do all the heavy lifting by posting their content. You can simply “like” those posts or comment whenever you feel comfortable doing so. They key is regularly engaging with others and being active on the platforms.
