Ironstone Founder Andrea Schlapia has a long and successful relationship with Raymond James, helping many of their advisors from coast to coast embrace better practice management techniques.
As a leading financial advisor coach, Andrea also enjoys opportunities to speak at events around the country, including conferences by Raymond James.
Last week, Andrea had the opportunity to attend and speak at the Raymond James Empower Conference in beautiful Bonita Springs, Florida. This conference brings together the Independent Advisor Division of the company to enjoy a program that will empower advisors and equip them with new insights and best practices.
Raymond James executives like Scott Curtis, President of the Independent Division, were able to provide updates on the firm and the exciting direction ahead for the company and its advisors.
Meanwhile, Andrea was ready for her breakout session in a room that would soon be standing room only! Knowing that many advisors focus on delivering excellent client service while focusing less on their business, Andrea’s presentation was titled “A+ Advisor But a B- Business Owner.”
Advisors who have been struggling with running their practice like a business walked away from this dynamic session with tools, resources and actionable steps that will take their firm in a new and positive direction.
These conferences also give Andrea an opportunity to reconnect with many of her contacts at Raymond James, like Michele Dillon who gave a session on creating a scalable practice.
Andrea also enjoyed spending time with Renee Baker, who’s doing amazing things with the Raymond James Women’s Network of Advisors and efforts related to diversity.
